Standard Service Rates

Late Payment, Collection and Disconnect Policy:
A $12.50 minimum bill is due for any portion of the month that water service is available for use. If a meter is locked for nonpayment, it will continue to generate a minimum bill, and if locked for 2 consecutive months, the account will be closed and reapplication will be necessary to reactive the account.
Statements are due when rendered. If the amount due is not paid by the 25th of the month, a late charge will be added. If the bill is not paid by the 10th of the following month, the water service may be disconnected without further notice. Failure to receive a bill does not relieve your obligation to pay. This is the only bill you will receive. Courtesy reminder calls are made at least once before any disconnection. Please be sure to keep a current telephone number on file.
When services are disconnected for nonpayment, the total billed amount plus any service charges must be paid before service is reconnected. No reconnections after 8:00pm.
Only one dwelling/facility shall be served through one meter, unless approved by Bucksport Water System, Inc.

Late Fees & Other Fees

Going inside a Bucksport Meter box for any reason without our knowledge or apporval is prohibited. Failure to comply with this will result in the disconnection of your water and a $150.00 meter tampering fee that must be paid in full before water service will be restored. Meter tampering include: removing locks or tabs, installing pipe or object to bypass your meter, or placing objects on meters that interfere with their reading or access.
Effective March 1, 2023: Service Diagnostic Fee of $50.00. If a member requests a meter check or service call, and the meter check or service call reveals there is no problem that is the fault of the water system, then the member's account will be assessed a $50.00 Service Diagnostic Fee.
